Building on Success

The weather was kind to us on our Open Day on Saturday 10th March 2012. In bright sunshine, the Mayor of St Asaph, Councillor Andrew Thomas officially opened our new classroom block and reception area. The ceremony, witnessed by existing and prospective Fairholme parents and children, was heralded by a fanfare, composed and performed by the school wind band. Subsequently, visitors were given guided tours of the school's facilities by the Year 6 pupils, who drew much praise for their knowledge, enthusiasm and politeness.

The Mayor expressed his pleasure at being part of what was a special day for the school and enthused over the improvement in facilities, the long association of Fairholme with St Asaph and it's growing role as part of the local community.

We are delighted with our new classrooms which not only provide an excellent environment for learning but have also enabled us to create dedicated space in the school for art, dining, music and science. Together with the earlier development of the ICT facilities and all-weather sports pitch, we now have a first-class infrasture to support our excellent teaching staff and enhance further the already high academic standards achieved by the school.

We are also pleased with the level of interest generated by the Open Day which has already resulted in a number of new pupils joining us.
