Elven Action

Friday 23 November was no ordinary day at Fairholme! Children from all forms contributed in raising funds for the local hospice by wearing their own clothes or donning an elf outfit. Running activities took place throughout the day. Father Christmas (aka Mr. Roberts) was continually being chased by elves of various heights in the playground, on the astroturf and in the Sports Hall! Phew!

The running club made good use of their weekly running session by completing a sponsored elf run complete with their elf hats and/or costumes. The rain just about stayed away for our riverside run, with the children covering at least two miles. Well done to all involved and for all the children who purchased an elf hat to raise extra funds. We were able to present St. Kentigern’s with a cheque for an amazing grand total of £906, the most we have ever raised for a charity event at school. Thank you all for your generosity.
