Seven Day Saga

Form led assemblies have continued this term with each Form presenting one day of the week, how it came to have it’s name and why pupils like it.  Form IV took on Wednesday, named after Wodin, the Norse King of the gods, known as the All-father; Form VII took on Thursday, named after Thor, the son of Wodin; Form VI followed this with Friday, named after the goddess Freya; Form III rounded off this series of assemblies with everyone’s favourite day — Saturday, named after the Roman god, Saturn.

All these assemblies were the build up to our Summer Celebration at St. Asaph Cathedral for the performance of ‘The Saga of the Seven Days’, an event which saw fantastic performances from recorder group, windband, guitarists, junior and senior choirs and saw the launch of our new choir for more experienced performers - "Aurora Chorealis".  Thank you to Mrs. Cotterill and Mrs. Williams for their tireless efforts in preparation for this event.
