The Magic Flute

Twenty children returned to Fairholme a week early this year to join the latest Drama Workshop.  Guided by Mrs Perkins, alongside Miss Foulkes and Miss Hughes,  the children had fun looking at the story of ‘The Magic Flute’.  Having watched an animated version of Mozart’s Magic Flute, we embarked on our own much less classical version which included a carpet of fire, monsters, mystery and finally marriages with many pop songs, old and new, slotted in along the way.  A great way to spend a week — next chance for a drama workshop is the first week of the Christmas holiday — suitable for any emerging young actors and actresses Form II upwards.
